İzmir temsilciliğimiz UPEGEM'in düzenlediği İngilizce Konuşma kamplarının ilk devresi olan GEN-22 ve GEN-23 kampları bir arada gerçekleştirildi.GEN-23'e kampta İngilizce öğretecek gönüllüler, GEN-23'e ise İngilizce pratik yapmak isteyen gençler katıldı.

GEN-22 HELP THEM TO SPEAK-1 IZMIR 02.07 - 12.07 TEACH 5 VOLS

SEKADER is a local NGO aiming to socialize disabled people of the area through water sports. They hired a camping site where they teach swimming, kanoing and diving to disabled people. To raise a fund for covering the costs of the camping site they run a camp to practise English. Good English speakers are invited to spend 10 days with a group of international teenagers who wish to improve their English in such a camp.

W: Practicing English through daily activities, games and manual work. Organizing and running daily activities with local and international youngsters to practice English. R: Volunteers must be minimum 20 years old and agree to share responsibilities together with the group leader. Practicing English is the main aim of this camp. Thus creative volunteers with some experience on teaching, outdoor or table games, music, drama, sport will be preferred. A motivation letter including the Skype ID should be send along with the application form. Applicants will be interviewed via Skype before being confirmed.

A: Basic, in camping tents. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. Toilets and showers are shared. F: Will be supplied at the site.

LA: English.

LO: Seferihisar is the first slow city (Citta Slow) of Turkey in the West of Turkey. Camp site is by the sea.

T: Istanbul. The project will start in Istanbul with a compulsory orientation meeting that all volunteers should attend on the first day of the camp at GENCTUR Office. The group will travel together to the camp site by an overnight coach on the same evening.
