ASSIST DISABLED

Bu yıl İstanbul’da da bir kamp yaptık. Zeytinburnu Belediyesi’nin işbirliği ile gerçekleştirdiğimiz GEN-29’a katılan 5 yabancı gönüllü, engelliler merkezinde düzenlenen günlük etkinliklerde görevlilere yardımcı oldular ve merkezin bazı odalarının duvarlarına resim çizdiler. Bu kampta da liderliği belediyenin gençlik biriminden bir yetkili projenin yürütme sorumluluğunu da engelliler merkezinin müdürü üstlendi.

GEN-29 ASSIST DISABLED ISTANBUL 23.09 – 08.10SOCI / DISA10 VOLS AKDEM (Family Protection and Support Centre of Zeytinburnu Municipality) is a free of charge service center for the people in need. The Disabled Unit of the center offers education, training, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy sessions for children and teenagers. There are several different menthal and physical disabled children, however autistics are the majority. Volunteers needed to assist the specialists in classes of education and training as well as running some extra classes and free time activities for groups of children based on their own experience, knowledge, talent and will, like drawing, origami, paper work, music, etc. Volunteers with experience of working with disabled children especially with autistics will be preferred. W: Assisting the satff of the center and organizing activities for disabled children. A: In the municipal guest house. Sleeping bags and mats are not necessary. F: Will be served in the guest house. LA: English. Turkish will be be helpful but not a must. LO: Zeytinburnu is a developing district of Istanbul. You can find all the facilities needed around. T: Istanbul
